The Ethics Committee

The purpose of the Ethics Committee is to ensure that EPEE’s founding values are fully respected, in addition to its ethical requirements concerning its activities, inspired by the notion of “economic patriotism” in the provision of assistance to French and European companies as they expand abroad.

The Ethics Committee is free of any ties and of any political objectives.

EPEE’s Ethics Committee is comprised of six independent members:

François Guillaume

President of the Ethics Committee
Former Minister of Agriculture; former President of the FNSEA; former member of Parliament (UMP) for Meurthe-et-Moselle; an ardent proponent of North-South dialogue and the promoter of the “Guillaume Plan” for food security in the Third World.

Bertrand de La Presle

Army general (2S); former commander of the rapid response force and subsequently of the UNPROFOR; Former adviser to the EU’s senior representative for the former Yugoslavia, and joint author of the Dayton agreements.

Michel Bassi

Journalist; president of WAÏ TV; former communication officer to the President of the French Republic ; former CEO of RMC.

Jean-François Picheral

Former senator (Socialist Party) for the Bouches-du-Rhône; former mayor of Aix-en-Provence; former member of several senatorial groups promoting Franco-African friendship; former member of the parliamentary assembly for La Francophonie.

Jacques Warin

Former French ambassador to the FAO, the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights; Former member of the economic operations department of the MFA, expert assigned to the UN.

Michel-Jean Jacquot

Lawyer to the court; former president of the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund  (EAGGF); former senior civil servant at the European Commission in Brussels; a member of the Academy of Agriculture.
